Brand-spankin' used Sterling Acterra. I am the third owner, and I know the previous two. Truck has a little under 1.6 million on it, but the engine has around 450,000. MBE926 @330 horsepower still gets the job done very well.
The good:
-Excellent fuel economy. Between 10-11 mpg.
-Onan 7500 watt generator is whisper-quiet
-Roof air conditioner cools very well
-Espar diesel-fired heater will roast you out in the winter time
-Waltco 4,000 pound liftgate works very well.
-Sleeper is in excellent shape for its age - everything works as it should
-Can go out and make money today.
-I have a quick-drain valve for the oil pan. Just needs installed on next PM.
-Several additional oil, fuel and air filters go with it.
-New translucent roof and composite barn (swing) doors February 2024
The Not-So-Good:
-Paint job needs some attention, or the vehicle needs wrapped. It's kind of fugly. Definitely not a head-turner. Have I mentioned that it makes money?
-Power steering pump leaks. I have the replacement. Just needs installed.
-The seats leak air. Probably a simple fix.
-Allison transmission slips. Unsure if electronics issue or it's finally failing after 1.5 million miles.
This truck is solid and can make someone a lot of money. We are only selling as we are changing directions in our business.
