What Is a Trip Home?

We all do it. We all go home. However you guage your trip home, it's always the longest run.

But when you pull into town, before you notice everything the same, you'll notice the changes.

Someone's house is for sale.

The neighbor has a new car.

When you park the truck, someone is there waiting, a child, a lover, a mom or dad, sister or brother, or 26 phone messages and a bushel of mail. Whether it's the soft kiss of a child, a firm handshake from a friend, or a sensuous hug from your mate, you know you were missed.

A short nap, a good meal and catching up on all you missed makes the past miles go away.

Until it's time to do it again.
