One
of expedited trucking's leaders was recently given center stage in a
Cleveland Plain Dealer article "FedEx Custom Critical delivers on White
Glove promise." The piece was authored by the Plain Dealer's Business
Editor Paul O'Donnell.
The
article is part of the publication's On the Record series - a
collection of interviews with top Northeast Ohio business leaders. The
interview, presented in a Q&A format gives an overview of
Albanese's FedEx Custom Critical history, her description of how the
expedited trucking business operates and a glimpse into her family
life.

Interview excerpts
Virginia Albanese: "We have the absolute best independent contractor driver fleet around. We keep them busy. Our freight is nice freight for them to have. We pay them well. We pay them on time. We really do a lot for contractors so most of them do not haul for other people."
"For right now, we've got a great business at Custom Critical. It's unbelievably satisfying to see the enthusiasm of our executive leadership team and our managers, but it's really energizing to see the enthusiasm of people taking the phone calls, our drivers and the like."
